MakanSite started in 2026 because we kept watching small Malaysian food shops, kopitiams, cafés, hawker stalls, mamak, answer the same DMs all day: 'still open ah?', 'price?', 'where?'. Meanwhile they were paying RM 3,000 for websites that nobody could update without sending another invoice.
We thought a real shopfront should: load on a phone instantly, get edited in 30 seconds from the same phone, show up in Google when someone searches the shop's name, and hand the customer straight off to a WhatsApp chat with the owner, not a checkout cart, not a delivery fee.
So we built that. Hosted monthly, no setup tax, no commission on orders, the customer is yours, the brand is yours, the WhatsApp is yours.
